British Woman Escapes Molestation Attempt In Patna After Travelling From Haridwar On Boat With Her Husband

A British couple, who arrived in India for adventure tourism, narrowly escaped a molestation attempt in Mokama town of Patna district in Bihar. The duo reached Patna from Haridwar in their inflatable boat following the stream of River Ganga.

On Sunday night around 10 pm, the two stopped in Pandarak to click some photographs but were soon surrounded by some uncouth people.

The miscreants first asked the pair whether they can click pictures with them but sensing something fishy with the men’s approach they became uneasy. Soon after the miscreant demanded some money from the Britishers and upon refusing to hand out anything the men were infuriated.

The misbehaving men began making physical advances towards the woman to which they objected. In an attempt to save their lives, the two jumped into the Ganga and swam across to a nearby village of Pandarak.

The pair narrated the entire incident to the villagers but due to the language barrier they couldn’t fully understand their situation but somehow managed to assure them of their safety before taking them to the police station to register a complaint.

After filing a case, the police raided the locality where the incident occurred to the nab the accused men. A report later carried that two miscreants were arrested by the cops.
