They then left her in the bathtub and grilled the dead body of the still born.
A 19-year-old was raped by her cousin and then beaten and stomped on the stomach by the other family members to force a miscarriage and cover the rape. When the victim was 13 years old, her grandmother died and she and her younger sister were sent to Dallas to live with her aunt Sarah Jones and her family. But soon she was moved to the apartment of Cecila Mc Donald, her aunt’s daughter where the accused also lived. The 24-year-old accused Robert Cayald, who is also the victim’s cousin, faces an aggravated sexual assault case but was found incompetent to stand trial. His case is still pending.
The victim told in the court that she had told her aunt Sarah and her sister Cecilia that the accused had also sexually abused three young children of Cecilia McDonald. Cecilia became so nervous on hearing this and worried that if police came to know about the victim’s pregnancy they might take away her children.
The family first forced the victim to take birth control pills and cinnamon pills to abort the baby. But when it didn’t work, they held her down and stomped on her pregnant belly one by one. While hitting on her stomach Cecilia would yell, “B**** you ain’t about to get my kids taken away from me.”
They then left the girl bleeding in a bathtub after while her younger sister looked after her as she lost and gained consciousness. They took the stillborn baby with them and put it in a bucket. They tried to burn the body in a grill but when they failed, Sarah Jones gave her son $25 to dispose off the body who then threw the body is some unknown location.
The victim’s aunt has been sentenced to 12 years, her daughter Cecilia McDonald to seven years, victim’s another brother Cedric Jones Jr to five years, and another man Lonnell McDonald to 10 years in jail for aggravated assault.
According to reports, Lonnell McDonald sat on her pregnant belly and bounced up and down while Cecilia held her arms. Then Cedric kicked and punched her repeatedly. She got no medical attention during or after her pregnancy.
