COPPING OFF On-duty detective ‘caught semi-naked romping with married lawyer in police station’

Detective Inspector Ricky Price was allegedly found having sex with high-flying lawyer Rachel Pudner at a police station in Swansea

A POLICE detective was allegedly caught with his trousers down having sex with a married solicitor in a busy police station.

Detective Inspector Ricky Price, 42, was reportedly found half-naked with high-flying lawyer Rachel Pudner, also 42, in an interview room.

Det Insp Price will face a misconduct hearing later this year

A Police Community Support Officer reported the pair after claiming to have walked in on them in a ‘compromising position’ after hearing groans inside Cockett police station in Swansea, South Wales.

Det Insp Price, who earns £54,000-a-year and has been in the force for 22 years, is understood to have offered his resignation but will first face a misconduct hearing.

He is engaged to fiancee Emma Keys, 33, but the couple’s £300,000 home in Swansea has been put up for sale.

Mrs Pudner, a partner at Swansea law firm Hutchinson Thomas, is married to husband Matthew, 42, a manager with BT.

South Wales Police said the officer has submitted his resignation but a misconduct hearing will still be held.

It is understood he would keep his police pension by resigning before being sacked.

Det Insp Price will continue to be a serving police officer until the disciplinary hearing takes place later this year.

Chief Superintendent Dorian Lloyd, head of professional standards at South Wales Police, said: “We are fully aware of the allegations against the officer and an internal investigation is ongoing.

“The officer has not been suspended and once the investigation has taken place the matter will be subject to a misconduct hearing.

“Until this process is complete it would be inappropriate to comment any further on the allegations.”

Both Det Insp Price and Mrs Pudner refused to comment.
