The customer yells ‘I fucking dare you’ before the employee bends closer to the food and deliberately spits in the pita. It quickly escalates into a full blown fight inside the Pita Pit chain in Canada, as the server attempts to climb over her counter to fight her irate customer.

The disgusted customer shouts: ‘I fucking was nice to you. You were a fucking bitch’. To which the server responds: ‘Yeah because it’s three o’ clock in the fucking morning and I want to go home.’ The incident happened at a Pita Pit in Montana, Canada – which has branches in Manchester – at around 2am on Saturday. The video was shared on Facebook by Shaelynn MadPlume and attracted thousands of outraged comments.

In response, the owner of the Pita Pit involved – known only as Nancy – said in a statement that she was ‘shocked and saddened’ by what had happened. The employee featured is no longer working for her company, she said. ‘I don’t know what happened before or after this video was taken but please don’t listen to those who speculate,’ Nancy said.

‘I can see what happened during the video and there is no excuse whatsoever for the type of behavior shown by an employee that I can assure you is no longer working for us. ‘This is an owner run store. We work here forty plus hours per week, but we are not in during all hours of operation. This employee’s behaviour does not represent who we are as a family or a business. ‘We are reviewing our policies to see what more we can do. The fact remains that employee violated policies that are already in place. ‘If my husband and I could take back what happened, we would. That is not possible. In this moment of shock and heaviness, we want to offer you, your friends, and the Missoula community our sincerest apology.’
