Posing in her signature “corpse bride” get-up, the 20-year-old star’s frightening appearance caused even more of a stir among her 359,00 Instagram followers than usual.

Although she excitedly captioned the image “alone with all of Tehran!”, Sahar’s scary appearance told a different story.

With her hollow cheeks and terrifyingly thin wrist, followers were quick to label the image “horrible and scary.”

Others said the image made them “want to vomit”.

Sahar reportedly spoke to Russian media outlet Sputnik last year, revealing: “This is Photoshop and makeup. Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way.”

“It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face,” she explained.
