A man in Delhi has been arrested for killing his wife and hiding her body in a bed box. The incident happened in Delhi’s Tughlaqabad Extension.
On January 29, the body was recovered, two weeks after her death. The 30-year-old Maria Masih alias Savitri Mehra was killed on January 11.
Accused who has been identified as Suresh Singh, 26, is a physiotherapist by profession and is originally from Uttarakhand.
His marriage with Maria Masih alias Savitri Mehra was his second and he reportedly killed Maria to so that he could live with his first wife, Lata. As per reports, he hadn’t divorced either woman.
In the investigation, it was revealed that Suesh Singh had met Maria Masih alias Savitri Mehra, 30, on Facebook and within a year, the two started living in Dehradun.
In 2015, the 26-year-old Suresh tied the knot with first wife Lata and 15 days later he married Maria, who later changed her name to Savitri. But in 2017, he moved to Delhi and started living with his first wife, Lata and decided to leave her for good.
Maria was reportedly pressurising Suresh to leave his first wife Lata and to end it, the physiotherapist planned to kill Maria.
Singh was arrested from his village Bageshwar. The 26-year-old was planning to flee to Nepal.
