A man without a private part is facing jail after he inserted ‘unknown objects’ into sexual partners during what they thought was sex.
Prosecutor Kirsten Cockburn told the court that Carlos Delacruz, 35, made one of the women bleed as a result of his actions. Both women only found out that he didn’t actually have a private part after their relationships broke down.
Carlos Delacruz could face a jail sentence for his sex attacks on two women.
One of his victims said that he would always hold the base of what she thought was his private part during sex while the other said that he made her bleed. They both had sex with him multiple times but because he refused to let them see him naked and he insisted on having sex with the lights turned off they didn’t realise he didn’t have a private part.
He’s now been put on the sex offenders’ register and told that all sentencing options are open. Fiscale Depute Ms Cockburn told Edinburgh Sheriff Court that both women suffered thrush. She said: ‘[One partner] believed she was being penetrated by his private part. The accused does not have a private part. ‘She knew he was self-conscious about his body and always wore a t-shirt.

‘[On one occasion] the accused turned his back [while in bed together] and she heard him with a [condom] wrapper. The accused turned around and inserted his private part into her. ‘During intercourse he would hold on to the base of the private part with his hand.’ The fiscal added Delacruz and the woman would have sex around once a month despite her suffering ‘extreme pain’ and only being allowed to touch his body ‘over his clothing’.
‘During their relationship the woman continued to believe he had a private part’, the fiscal added. After they split up she informed police after learning he had been lying to her. The second victim also believed Delacruz had a private part and the couple always had the lights off during when they had sex.
She also suffered extreme pain from penetration during sex and on the first occasion had to tell Delacruz to stop as she was bleeding. The couple then had sex around ten times over the course of their nine-month relationship and the woman also contracted thrush afterwards.
They broke up over financial problems and a month later she also discovered he didn’t have a private part. Ms Cockburn said during a subsequent police interview Delacruz made no comment and that he was medically examined while in custody and it was found he did not have a private part.
Sheriff Alison Stirling placed Delacruz on the sex offenders register for a term still to be determined. It was not revealed why he does not have a private part. He will be sentenced in September.
