Rape cases are no longer rare. And even if they weren’t, the victim often felt too shameful to even report it. And some cases, they don’t even have to be reported, the unspeakable brutality on their body is enough of an evidence. Whether it’s 7-year-old Zainab Ansari in Pakistan’s Kasur district or Nirbhaya in Delhi, their tragic story shook India and Pakistan, leading protesters out on streets.
But, the protests and widespread outrage doesn’t stop these monsters from raping anyone. They prowl, they prey, they hunt. Any weakness they can turn into advantage; any vulnerability they could hack into, they are relentless.
Four rape cases have been reported in Haryana in one week. One case had the girl’s liver and lungs ruptured as a stick was inserted in her vagina while the other horror had a child as a victim. And it ain’t better in our neighbourhood.
An iron rod was repeatedly jammed in her vagina. The doctor, Fatima Sheerin, took to Twitter to express her outrage. She wrote, “One of my patients died of excess bleeding which was apparently due to really severe Post-coital tears. Because the cuts were grave & didn’t seem like PCTs, we convinced her father to approve autopsy. Turns out her husband was a psychopath who f****** her with IRON BARS.”
A newly wed girl was raped on her wedding night. Yes, lines are ‘blurred’ when the two are married but what else would you call an incident in which a man rapes his bride so brutally that she died?
She added, “ON HER MARRIAGE NIGHT. That women DIED on her reception day. She DIED FOR F**** SAKE. And we can’t educate our children about sex? Our society deserves to die.”
Seeing such brutality, the girl’s parents filed a police complaint but as per reports, they are considering withdrawing the case as the man is their relative.
Is there no value of a girl’s life?
