‘He Raped His Daughter Even When She Was Sick’; This Story Was Shared With Amitabh Bachchan By Nobel Prize Winner Kailash Stayrathi On KBC

Kaun Banega Crorepati’s season 9 grand finale episode was telecasted on the 6th of November. The show witnessed India’s famous children’s right activist Kailash Satyarthi on the hot seat. Founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Kailash has been associated with social work ever since the year 1980.

Satyarthi won an overall sum of Rs.50,00,000 and decided to quit ahead of the 100 Crore mark. While his performance in the show was commendable, it was his words that left the audience and Amitabh Bachchan entirely appalled. Take a look…

Having worked for children’s rights for several years and being honoured with the Nobel Prize in 2014 for the same, Satyarthi shared several intriguing incidents that he came across during his work.

Right from incidents of child labour to child abuse, his narrations of the many incidents left many appalled. But what took everyone by surprise was one particular incident of young workers associated with a circus troupe.

Satyarthi spoke about a young girl on the show who was a victim of sexual abuse from the hands of her own father for several years.

Although she begged and pleaded to her father on several occasions, he refused to let go.

On one occasion, the girl was seriously sick and she folded her hands and begged her father to not rape her and spare her.

But the man refused her pleas and continued with his act for several days after as well.

After listening to the story, the audience couldn’t help but feel appalled at the various cases of child abuse in the country.

The host, Amitabh Bachchan then went ahead and requested the audience to protect children from any form of exploitation and abuse.

With this episode, KBC’s season 9 ended with a valuable message for the entire nation to pay heed to.
