‘Woh Sirf Meri Hai, I Will Not Leave Her’ Says Man About Sara Tendulkar. He Followed Her Over ‘20 Times’

32-year-old Debkumar Maity managed to get the landline number of Tendulkar residence. Sachin Tendulkar, the country’s most celebrated cricketer, received about 15 calls on January 2 by Maity.

The first call was picked by Tendulkar’s personal assistant who was asked if Sara was home. On being told that she was not, he asked the assistant to give the phone to the 20-year-old.

“Aap usko phone dena nahi chahte. Woh sirf meri hai, main uske saath shaadi karunga, woh aur kisi ki nahi ho sakti (You don’t want to give her the phone. She is only mine; I will marry her, she cannot belong to anyone else).”

“Maine uska ka bohot baar pichhaa kiya hai, main usko nahi chhod ne wala (I have stalked her many times, I will not leave her).”

When the such calls continued, an FIR was lodged with the police who scanned all the 15 calls that were made on January 2.

The 32-year-old is said to have admitted to stalking Sara Tendulkar 20 times and had said that he’d marry her.

The Bandra Police identified the man as Debkumar Maity in West Bengal’s Mahishadal and on Monday, Maiti was arrested and brought to Mumbai.

As per reports, his cell phone was seized.

The stalker was presented before the court and was sent to custody till January 11. Maity’s family claims that the 32-year-old is mentally unstable, is unemployed and is a school dropout.
